Languages
There is only one official language spoken in Iran, which is
of course Farsi. However, many Iranians are able to understand
English to a certain extent since English is the foreign
language that everyone must learn as part of compulsory
education.
Other languages spoken in Iran are Turkish, Kurdish, Arabic
and many dialects.
Even if you don't understand Farsi, you
can still certainly enjoy Iran. But if you know a few everyday
Farsi phrases then it will make your trip even more memorable.
A few words make a big difference.
