Electricity

The voltage used throughout Iran is uniformly 220 volts, A.C. 50 Hertz

A convertible type of electrical appliance such as a hair dryer, travel iron and shaver will therefore be handy; otherwise a step-down transformer is required to convert the voltage.

There are no columnar-shaped plugs or 3-pin plugs used in Iran but 2-pin plugs are used instead. It is therefore advised to purchase a plug adapter beforehand.

Electrical Appliances

Take care when buying electrical or electronic products. Be sure the circuits are, or can be, adjusted to use with your home country's power system.
Video systems differ from country to country, so confirm that the system is correct for your use.
