Sultan Zain ol'
Abedin
The Sultan
Zain ol-'Abedin tower with its octagonal conical dome, constitutes
one of the most important historic buildings of the city of Sari,
in respect of its construction, its tile-decorations, and its
tomb-box, as well as costly wooden door. Above the entrance door,
there is a tile inscription, and another inscription in Riqa'
style, runs as follows: The work of Seyed Ali ibn Seyed Kamal
od-Din, a mason from Amol. In the tower, there is another
wooden box on a tomb, bearing the name of Sultan Amir Shams od-Din.
An exquisite inscription has been carved on the wooden box. This
inlay box is a masterpiece of handiwork and luckily all of its
four sides have remained in good condition. According to the dates
given on the inscription, the structure belongs to the 15th
century AD.
