Sarakhs is located in far north- eastern of Khorasan province . Its weathers is cold in winters and warm and dry in summers under influence of Gharaghoroom sandy region. It is as old as Sasanians. In the year 617 A.H. simultaneous with the attack of Mongols to Iran, Sarakhs was plundered and destroyed. Till the end of Ghajar period, Sarakhs was governed in feudally system.
