The town is located 1240 Kilometers south to Tehran. The northern highlands of the region of Baft consist of the head springs of rivers which flew eastward, forming Halil Rood which crosses Giroft. The reason for the establishment of this town is not clearly Known, and it seems that early resident of this town were living on a distant from the present town. The important places which can be visited in Baft are the Raber beautiful country sides which are located 24 Kilometers far from Baft.
